Who we are

Mission:

Our mission is to motivate and inspire students to achieve EXCELLENCE.

Vision:

Our vision is simple: We strive to be the best in the world at motivating and inspiring students.  We're not a tutoring company that mentors, we're a mentoring company that tutors - and that makes all the difference.

Becoming Part of the Team:

At Group Excellence, we not only touch the lives of students, we also provide an opportunity for others to enhance lives and change the way education looks in this country. That's why we're different. We look for people with unique experiences that can become unique messengers to low-income students. Our goal is to make everyone who works for us better than we found them.

  • Area Coordinator (AC)
ACs are organized, outgoing indivduals who manage and coordinate supplemental education services in local public schools. The main focus points of the ACs are: maintaining all student paperwork, managing daily tutoring sessions, and building relationships within the schools and surrounding communities. They are also responsible for hiring qualified tutors and recruiting students to participate in the tutoring program.
  • Campus Director (CD)
The Campus Director is responsible for assisting the AC in key areas. This person should enjoy creating and maintaining organizational systems to support the tutoring sessions. Additionally, they will supervise the daily sessions within the public school to ensure a high-quality tutoring experience for the students. Responsibilities vary per school, and duties may include (but are not limited to) data entry, organizing paperwork, and the distribution and maintenance of tutoring curriculum.
  • Tutor/Mentor
GE Life Coaches are enthusiastic individuals who tutor and mentor students during after-school sessions. The curriculum ranges from 6th grade to 12th grade subjects, focusing on TAKS math. Candidates should have reliable transportation, and carpools among tutors can be organized. After- school sessions are generally between 4-6 P.M. but may vary slightly per school.
